Whatup fam,
In the words of Ricky Bobby we all wanna go fast!
We want guaranteed results and we want them by tomorrow.
Understandably so..
๐ We can get a private driver (Uber) in 5 minutes.
๐ We can get groceries delivered in less than an hour.
๐ We can order most things online and get them in one day.
A lot of the material things in life can be obtained very quickly if you have the financial resources..
Unfortunately or fortunately (depending on how you look at it) the most valuable things in life take more time.
They also require you to slow down enough to be able to use the right strategy to obtain what it is you really desire.
Thatโs what this newsletter will focus on today. How to slow down, so you can speed back up to get more of what you want in less time.
As always, you will do so by owning your focus and choices. ๐
Question of the week ๐ค
โAre you treating your personal development like fast food?โ
One of the greatest lines my Sensei ever said to me was that when you work on yourself you are not supposed to treat it like fast food. ๐ Meaning you are not trying to rush through it as fast as you can just to get through it.
Rather, you should be treating any work you are doing on yourself to become better as a fine dining experience.๐ท Sitting down without any urgency and expecting a deep and immersive experience. Savoring every moment and being fully present with the process. ๐๏ธ
I share this shift in perspective as a prelude to what I am going to challenge you to do later in this newsletter.

Slow Down, to Speed Up ๐จ
Often times we are over caffeinated and overstimulated and so we spend hours running around doing things everyday like a chicken with itโs head cut off. ๐Sometimes progress is made, but this scatter brain, rush ahead as fast of possible way of operating actually wastes your time in the long-run.
If you take the time to slow down you can be more precise with your actions and actually get to your desired outcomes faster. ๐
Here are a few steps that will slow down your mind, so you can speed up your actions and results.
Step 1. Chunk down your goals ๐
Make a list of all the things you want to achieve.
Take this list and organize it in order of most to least important.
Start with the most important goal first and work your way down the list.
Step 2. Chunk down your actions โ๏ธ
Make a list of all the actions necessary to achieve your goal.
Organize these actions in order of what needs to be done first.
Start taking the next actions available and scheduling them into your calendar with time slots that are slightly bigger than you think they need to be.
Step 3. Practice Radical Surrender ๐งโโ๏ธ
You can only do one thing well at a time, so immerse yourself in the present.
Surrender everything else that needs to be done in the future.
Also, surrender the exact timing that you need your goal to be achieved.
As long as you are consistent with your habits the outcome will come to you.
