Kill your old self

Owned Newsletter #62

Whatup fam,

Have you ever found yourself making the same mistake over and over?

How about repeating the same negative pattern in relationships, physical health or in your career?

Well, it may be time to kill that version of you that is stuck in those negative patterns.

Kill may sound like a strong word, but let me explain further..

Recently I started working with one of the top female professional boxers in the world and she told me that she feels like there are two versions of herself that could show up in the ring on fight night.

One that fights in flow and dominates the opponent.

The other that falls into old negative patterns of overthinking and self sabotages.

I told her that we are going to have to eliminate (kill) that old version of her if she wants to fully awaken to her potential.

So we did it. In one session we took this old version of her that was stuck in these negative patterns and we killed her.

By kill her, I mean we took the subconscious programming that was creating this alternative identity and we removed it, so this identity crumbled and she could no longer access it.

Another way to think of it is that we removed the malware from her computer so her premium software could function properly without any issues.

I like to say we killed that version of her though, because it feels more like an ego death than anything else when you release yourself from programming that used to empower an old negative identity.

πŸ‘‰ Is it fun to do? Not exactly. Do you feel fucking great on the other side. 100%.

Not only that, but once you go through this process you are free to act in alignment with your highest self and perform your best in the biggest moments.

The reason I love working with elite performers is because they have the do whatever it takes mindset, which allows them to surrender to the deep work required to awaken to their full potential. πŸ’₯

Whether you consider yourself an elite performer or not I classify you as such being a part of the owned community and as such I will hold you to the same level of standard I hold my 1 on 1 clients.

There are ways of being you need to kill off if you want to awaken to your full potential.

πŸ’° Financially.

πŸ’ͺ Physically.

πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈ Emotionally.

πŸ’• Relationally.

And in your career or craft.

You have to kill that old identity that says β€œhe/she can do that, but I’m not good enough or I am not worthy of.”

Speaking matter of factly you deserve excellence in every aspect of your life, but you have to align your focus and choices to actually create it.

Usually that means you have to get out of your own way.

In other words, kill that identity that makes you question yourself and feels unworthy of success in all areas of life.

Of course, this is easier said than done, but I hope that if you have learned anything from my weekly newsletters is that it is 100% possible.

There is a clear road map for doing this work.

It just takes commitment to the process.

A great starting place is to list out all the negative patterns you are currently stuck in so you can identify that identity that needs to be killed.

Example of negative patterns could be overeating, gossiping, inconsistency with creative work, procrastination, talking about things but never following through etc.

Find your negative patterns so you can build this metaphorical version of yourself that needs to be killed off.

When you are ready to kill that version of yourself let me know and I will be your guide through that process.

In the meantime, try listening to this guided meditation for relaxation that will help you access your subconscious mind (where all your programming is stored.)

Thanks for reading!

Lots of love,

Brandon
